Relay For Life

The 2nd Annual 24 hour Maumelle American Cancer Society,  RELAY FOR LIFE will take place on Friday, May 11th thru Sat. May 12th in the field next to Harvest Foods.

FUMC has formed two teams: LIFT FOR LIFE (Jr. High) & JUMP FOR LIFE (Sr. High).    FUMC will build a “WALL OF HOPE” in the FLC Lobby during the month of May. You may purchase a star or moon in honor or in memory of someone you know.  The cost for each star or moon will be $1.00 each.  All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.  Everyone in our congregation has been touched by cancer in one way or another.  Lets build our “Wall of Hope” for those in our church family that are currently battling cancer, survived cancer or is yet to get their diagnosis.  Both groups will also be  selling Luminaries for the luminaria “Ceremony of Hope” Friday night, May 11th at 9:00pm.  Luminaries are $10 each and can be purchased in honor or memory of someone.  “HOPE” bracelets are for sale in the front lobby for $5 each.  Support the American Cancer Society by making a donation to one of these teams or purchasing a Luminary or  “HOPE” Bracelet.   Student Ministries  will have a booth set up each Sunday in May  in the Front Lobby with stars and moons, luminaries, and “HOPE” bracelets available.  Survivors are encouraged to log on to the Maumelle Relay For Life web site and register.
