STEP (Serving To Equip People) provides a ministry opportunity in our local churches for Christians who are willing to invest their time in the lives of youth through Encouraging and Mentoring Programs. The programs provide adult role modeling, example setting, sharing and relationships which are guided by Christian based beliefs and values. 

FUMC-Maumelle has been supporting STEP Programs since 2002. We are the sponsoring church for the Encourager Program at Pine Forest Elementary School. We also actively participate in the Summer Mentoring Program, the Christmas Store and the annual Run For Their Lives 5K Race.
