Welcome Message

If you are visiting this page, you are probably new to First United Methodist Church or just checking us out - welcome!  If you have any questions, go to the office@fumcmaumelle.org or call us at 851-2377.

When you walk through the doors you will be greeted by friendly people. As you enter the main lobby, you will notice some couches, coffee tables and chairs so that it looks like a living room. We want you to be comfortable and relax while you visit. There is also a T.V monitor where you can see two of our contemporary worship services live and catch some announcements for the coming week. We want you to feel at home and linger. You may dress however you feel comfortable, whether you wear jeans or dress clothes, God doesn’t care and so we don’t either- we’re just excited you’re here!

You will notice a welcome center located in the middle of the lobby. When you come in on Sunday morning there will be someone waiting there to greet you and answer any questions you have. You can pick up lots of information about our church and all of our ministry/mission opportunities. We also want to give you a gift bag as our way of saying, “Thank you” for visiting.

The worship is fresh, and it points to Jesus. The teaching is Biblically based, relevant, and creatively communicated. You have four choices on Sunday morning worship so pick the time and the style you’re most comfortable with and enjoy the service.

If you have children, check them in before the service begins. Sunday School for ages 3yr – adults begins at 9:30 am.

Coming to church is a great way to connect with people, worship God and grow in your faith. We look forward to seeing you.
